A Sarah Palin impersonator and star of "Who’s Nailin Palin" will be heating up the Republican convention in Tampa this week.

Lisa Ann, a 40-year-old adult film star has been impersonating Palin since 2008.

A mother of five, Palin was the unlikely star of the 2008 Republican convention when Senator John McCain announced her as his running mate.

During the convention this week, Mitt Romney, a multimillionaire businessman, will be formally appointed as the Republican nominee for the upcoming presidential election.

Now Lisa Ann will be joining the masses who are descending on Tampa for the convention to impersonate Palin at the DollHouse strip club. However, the real Sarah Palin has not been offered a speaking role at the RNC.

‘I don't think she's as thrilled with me as I am with her,’ Lisa Ann told AFP.

“We live in a pretty recession-proof business,” the adult film star said.

“I mean, it did definitely change things for a lot of people. But for myself, having the gift to play Sarah Palin during the crunch has been just incredible.”

She is pro-guns and in favor of gay marriage and describes the porn industry as recession-proof.

Speaking to the Tampa Bay Times, Lisa Ann said she had been doing research on Palin’s life as she tries to get a better understanding of the former Alaskan governor.

“Do you know how many guys at the airport have told me they voted for Palin because they thought she was hot? I tell them, "Don't vote,"' she told the Times.

Lisa Ann, who is more liberal in her views than tea party conservatives, says she would be willing to consider a career in politics.

“I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't know if I could play it as shady as some politicians do.”
