Women’s rights protesters got down and dirty with Irish leader Enda Kenny when they slapped a pair of panties on his dinner plate at a London Irish fundraising dinner on Friday night.

The group were protesting the ban on abortion in Ireland and highlighting the 12 women a day who come to England for abortions.

The two women burst into the Crown Moran Hotel in Cricklewood,a major Irish neighborhood in London, and interrupted the glitzy $160 dollar a plate dinner.

The two women, were later identified as pro-choice activists with the group Speaking of I.M.E.L.D.A.,(Ireland Making England the Legal Destination for Abortion).

One of them went over to the seat where the Irish leader was sitting and dropped the panties on his dinner plate.

On the panties were written the words “Repeal the 8th” the reference is to the 8th Amendment in the irish constitution which deals with abortion.

The protesters videoed the entire incident which is bound to cause major questions to be asked about security for the Irish leader. On their twitter feed they stated they had “knicker bombed” the irish leader.

The message on the panties was quickly covered up with a napkin and the women were escorted outside by security but not before creating a sensation at the Fine Gael emigrant supporter's event.
