Results from a Red C poll in Ireland show that support for Fine Gael, one part of the present coalition government in Ireland, has taken a significant dip since last month’s polls.

TheJournal.ie reports that support for Fine Gael has fallen by 6 points, bringing it to a satisfaction rate of only 28 percent, the party’s lowest in two years.

Last month’s poll, also conducted by Red C, actually saw support for Fine Gael rise by two points to a 34 percent approval rating.

Despite Fine Gael’s dip in support this month, it is still the most favored party at the moment in Ireland. Fianna Fail is the second-ranked, with 20 percent support, a one point increase from last month.

Sinn Féin remains in third with its unchanged 17 percent approval rating, while Labour’s performance is slightly improved, up one point to 14 percent.

The poll measured the results of 1,003 participants and was conducted last week between Monday and Wednesday.
