Yes it is true. Some of the blame should go to the pubs who sell shots and the teenagers get drunk quicker and then they get thrown for being drunk. Also parents should take more responsibility with educating teenagers about drink. I agree with Monsoonman who says that it is a drunken mind conjures up all the banshees and leprechauns and without that we would not be Irish.

What part of the mind do you think leprechauns, gnomes and banshees emanate from? The native Americans had their peyote and magic mushrooms, we have our distilled "spirits". Seems we need to get beyond it, but family traditions are hard to break. Here in America we are such a medicated society our pharmaceutical residue flushed down the drains are affecting fish populations in rivers and bays. No longer do the fish fight when caught on the line, they don't care that much and can be reeled in easily...Probably explains why we have the politicians we do.
