Veterans Day is a time for honoring all who ever served honorably in the military, including the Irish. As far as the Irish community in the U.S. is concerned, those who gave their lives in the service of this country deserve special recognition as this time. These include the 29 Irish natives who lost their lives in Korea, 2 of whom were awarded BRONZ STARS and a 3rd a Bronze Star and a SILVER STAR. But none of these gallant young Irishmen was considered worthy of U.S. citizenship in his lifetime. Isn't about time that the Irish families of these young men received just compensation for their supreme sacrifices?

Ireland never gained Independence! The British left and the Vatican took over. They even got away with a systematic regime of child rape and torture.

I wonder if Enda and Eamonn ever laid a wreath commemorating those murdered on bloody Sunday.

The last paragraph states, "... since Irland gained its independence". Ireland still has NOT gained its full indepenndence; about 1/6 of that country's territory is still controlled by G.B. Those who were laid to rest in the Garden of Rememberence died for the freedom of the "whole Irish nation and all its parts - not to establish and uphold Partition.

If Kenny and Gilmore were alive in 1916 ,they would be part of the firing squad which executed Pearce and Connlly.
