Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, otherwise known as Brangelina, are trying to ban Irish bodyguard Mickey Brett from writing a tell-all book.

A source said: "Mickey knows everything about Angelina. It’s going to be one of the most explosive books ever written. It will include all the sordid details of how they (Pitt and Jolie) got together while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston."

Brett (52) is believed to also know details about the couple’s sex life and other personal information that Pitt and Jolie clearly don't want him talking about.

And there has been speculation that the book could also reveal information on Jolie’s relationships with female friends.

Brett - who was hired by Jolie in 2001 and fired by Pitt in 2008 - has spent much of his career as a bodyguard to the stars. He has guarded Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise and Sndra Bullock.

Now he faces a legal battle over his attempts to write the tell-all book about Jolie and Pitt.

Jolie and Pitt's lawyers say Brett signed a confidentiality agreement that bans such a memoir.

Brett denies he ever signed such an agreement and has asked for a court hearing to back him up so he can sign a book deal.

Brett witnessed Jolie and Pitt fall in love on the set of the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Anniston. Jolie has denied anything happened until Pitt had left Aniston.

The Irish man has a checkered past himself. He was banned from entering the U.S. last year for undisclosed reasons some time after the couple fired him.

In the meantime, IrishCentral staffers have spied the couple in Long Island's Oyster Bay where they have rented a house overlooking the bay.

The pair were spotted doing their shopping in a local grocery chain. Ah, stars! Just like you and me!
