NYGAA football player of the year for 2013

There are numerous contenders — O’Connor from Donegal, Kelly and O’Driscoll of Kerry, and McComiskey of Leitrim.

At the end of the day, what team would fail to get to where they wound up without a player?  With that in mind it goes to Brian O’Connor, the Offaly native who made Donegal a contender again at the senior level. His kicking for scores, his ball handling and awareness and his strength were all top class.

NYGAA Hurling player of the year for 2013

IT’S got to go to Brian O’Meara of Tipperary. His side lost their first three games but the arrival of the O’Mearas and Mahers changed their appearance completely. The big forward was outstanding from frees and in open play.
