Current Dublin senior hurler and all-star Joey Boland has announced details of his upcoming summer camp aimed directly at the Irish American diaspora.

The camp takes place in July at Castleknock College in Dublin. Students will have the option of staying in residence at the college or of being hosted with carefully selected Irish families .

The daily camp program will include Gaelic games coaching as well as classes and visits to places of interest in Ireland’s history and culture, with a particular focus on Irish history since 1800. Weekends will be spent visiting places such as Belfast, Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and Glendalough among others.

The program will also give the students the chance to mix with other international students from France, Spain and Italy among other countries who are also on site and studying English language as well as a variety of sports including tennis, golf, rugby, basketball, horse riding and multi-sport camps .
