Hoboken is back in the junior hurling final for the fourth year following an easy victory over Waterford on Saturday evening. Two early goals from Shane Fleming, when he was set up each time by Man of the Match Lee Wall, paved the way.

From then on it was easy sailing. By the 20th minute the lead had grown to 3-4 to 0-1 before Waterford had their best period of the contest.

Stephen O’Neill had a fortuitous goal while Roy Henley fired over a brace of points. Hoboken closed out the half, however, with six points from Danny McGee, who had three, a pair from Eamonn Gunn and Wall when Paul Loughnane found him with a brilliant cross field pass.

They continued the bombardment in the second half, granted on a more restrained basis, as they easily qualified for the championship final.

Loughnane, the excellent Darren Coffey, the O’Regan brothers, Wall, Fleming and Egan all had huge contributions to the victory and they will start favorites when they take on Ulster in two weeks.
