Ulster 4-19  Shannon Gaels 1-5

Ulster had no troubles at all with the challenge of Shannon as they easily accounted for them in a dominant junior hurling win.

Leading 1-10 at the break, with John Broderick firing the goal as the clock ticked down, dominant performances from Peter Hatzer, Ger McFettridge and sub Cathal Hatzer paved the way for victory.

Over the hour nine scorers hit the mark and but for some wayward shooting, it could have been even more.

Maurice Holden (first half), John White (second half) and keeper Ronan Morris fought gallantly for the losers, but in attack they were behind the eight ball time and again and only opened their account when the second half arrived.

Three second half goals arrived for the winners with Cian Tornsey and Hatzer with two.  Such was the game for the Queens boys, and the final whistle could not arrive soon enough.
