Pro wrestler Sheamus, Hollywood heartthrob? Don’t count the WWE Irish star out when it comes to transitioning to a film career a la Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Sheamus, currently on a WWE tour of the U.K. and Ireland, told the Mirror that he wouldn’t mind starring in a big-budget flick – and the carrot-topped gentle giant is sure that he’d have a huge fan base from the get-go.

"I definitely think there's a market for me to be in movies, because of what I've done in WWE. I'm recognizable -- even if I'm out wearing a hat people always know I'm Sheamus from WWE. I do look distinctive with my red hair and I stand out a lot and I definitely would like to bring that to the movies,” Sheamus -- given name Stephen Farrelly -- says.

The Dublin-born grappler is a fan of fellow Irishman Michael Fassbender. Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr. also rate highly in his books. “It would be an honor to work with any of them,” he added.

Just in case any casting directors are listening, Sheamus thinks he’d be perfect in the next Spider-Man movie. "I always read comic books as a kid, I always remember Eddie Brock, who was Venom in the Spider-Man comics. He was kind of a red head,” the 36-year-old offered.

"I'd love to play the role of Venom and Eddie Brock. Venom was one of my favorite characters. It would be a dream come true for me to star in the next Spider-Man film as Venom."

Another dream Sheamus wouldn’t mind realizing? Bringing Wrestlemania, the WWE’s biggest event of the year, back home to Dublin, or even the U.K.

“That’d be fantastic,” he said. “At Wembley, the Aviva Stadium or even Croke Park in Dublin, that would be amazing. I’d love nothing more.”
