Fifty Shades of Grey is set to debut in theaters on Valentine’s Day, but latest reports – if they are believable – indicate a lack of chemistry between the two stars, Belfast’s Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, best known as the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.

Dornan and Johnson returned to Vancouver last week to re-shoot several scenes from the film. One source told Us Weekly that producers aren’t thrilled because the steamy sex scenes contained in the wildly popular Grey novels don’t contain equal sizzle on screen.

“Dakota isn't coming off sexy enough,” a source told the magazine. “[Her character] Ana needs to be naive, not a dish-rag.” Oucchhh!

British writer E.L. James wrote three books in the Grey series, all of which were massive best-sellers. Moms in particular couldn’t get enough of the two main characters, rich masochist Christian Grey and his naïve conquest Anastasia. Producers naturally want to spin a couple of more movies and create a franchise, so it’s critical that they get the first one right.

Dornan was joined in Vancouver by his wife Amelia and their daughter, who was born in the Canadian city last year while he was shooting the film, which should rocket him to superstardom if it takes at the box office.
