Read more: Plans for pub crawls begin in Hoboken as St. Patrick’s Day parade cancelled

Last week the Hoboken, New Jersey, St. Patrick’s Day Parade was cancelled. This decision followed the City council suggesting that the parade be moved to a Wednesday night after 34 arrests and 296 citation violations were issued last year for urinating in public and carrying open containers of alcohol at the parade.

But it seems that those seeking out a party are determined to have one in Hoboken on the first Saturday in March, which is the day the parade has taken place for the past 26 years. In fact, plans for pub crawls are already taking place.

Do you believe that cancelling the celebration will put a stop to law breakers?

Will St. Patrick’s Day go off without a hitch or will there be further scenes of “debauchery” this year?
