Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will host a fundraiser for New York City mayoral hopeful Bill de Blasio next month.
De Blasio’s campaign announced the fundraiser Thursday, adding details would emerge later.
Former President Bill and Hillary both endorsed de Blasio’s campaign last week.
In their joint endorsement, the couple's spokespeople wrote, “Bill de Blasio has been a friend to both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton for many years. They were proud to see him run a thoughtful, creative campaign about the issues, and they are behind him as he moves on to the general election as the Democratic nominee.”
They have a long relationship with de Blasio, who ran Hillary’s New York Senate campaign in 2000.
De Blasio also served in the Housing and Urban Development Department under the former president.
Earlier this week President Barack Obama endorsed de Blasio and appeared with him at a fundraiser in New York.
De Blasio won just over 40 percent of the vote in the race's Democratic primary on September 10th and officially clinched his party's nomination when rival Bill Thompson conceded on September 16.
The Mayoral hopeful is running against Republican Joe Lhota to replace Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The election is November 5.
