Glenn Beck denies cable channel rumors and hails Fox News

Glenn Beck has denied rumors that he plans to start up his own cable network and said that he no intention of abandoning Fox News.

Earlier this week various prominent media outlets including The New York Times  had suggested that the Fox News host planned to set up his own cable network. These rumors were then fuelled by the fact that Beck appeared no committal about the future of Fox News.

Although the controversial host's contract with Fox News expires in December 2011 Beck deinied that he plans to leave Fox.

In a statement issued through his spokes man he said "Roger Ailes has built the most important voice in America today - Fox News - and it is an honor to do my show there every night. I have no intention whatsoever of doing the show I am doing now on Fox anywhere else."
