French acting legend Gerard Depardieu has apologized for his little Oui Oui – he was kicked off a flight to Dublin when he was caught urinating into a bottle as the plane prepared for take-off.

The Green Card star urinated in the aisle of the CityJet flight as it prepared to depart the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.

The 62-year-old felt an urgent need to urinate after the ‘fasten seat belt’ sign had been switched on ahead of take-off.

Witnesses have reported that he pleaded with air crew. “I need to piss, I need to piss,” he was reported as shouting.

When told he had to remain in his seat, Depardieu then urinated into the bottle in front of startled passengers.

The French actor’s representatives have since claimed that he tried to do his business: “As discreetly as possible.”

His spokesman added: “Gerard is very sorry to have spilt some on the plane’s carpet.”

Having moved to the back of the plane after he was told to stay down by crew, Depardieu then attempted to relieve himself at the back of the plane but peed on the floor as well as into the bottle.

Angry passengers were then informed that the flight was to be grounded for two hours while clean staff repaired the damage to the carpet.

Depardieu, on his way to Dublin to film the latest installment in the Asterix movie series, was removed from the plane with two companions and told to book another flight.

Friends have claimed that the Hollywood star was ‘completely sober’ and blamed his behavior on a 35 minute delay as the plane waited on the tarmac to taxi to its take-off position.

One of his companions, who included fellow French actor Edouard Baer, offered Depardieu an empty bottle as a last resort.

“He had no choice but to use it, but that he did it without any provocation and after making sure he wasn’t seen,” one of the companions told French media.

Final words of Air France crash pilot ‘I can’t control the plane’

“A little urine was spilt on the floor, which the actor offered to clean up himself, saying he was sorry for the inconvenience caused.

“No proceedings or fine were signaled to him and he had the feeling the misunderstanding and the inflexible attitude of the hostess were understood by his interlocutors.”

However one outraged female passenger told France’s Europe 1 radio: “Mr Depardieu got up, calling out ‘I need to piss, I need to piss’ as the plane was heading to the runway.

“The air hostess replied: ‘I am sorry, you’ll have to wait 15 minutes until we are in the air, everyone is strapped in, the lavatories are shut, I can do nothing for you.’

“He said: ‘No, I cannot wait.’ He got up, and did it on the ground. The hostess was shocked, but nothing was said – everything was done courteously.

“Mr Depardieu sat down again, and we went back to the plane parking space.”

The passengers added that she was ‘outraged’ by an actor. “He thinks he is not like others, that he has to abide by their rules. He could’ve waited a couple of minutes,” she said.

The City Jet airline, whilst confirming that an incident took place, declined to name the individual involved.

“As you may have seen on the news, we are busy mopping the floor of one of our planes this morning,” read a message from the airline on Twitter.

A second post on the social network read: “We’d also like to remind all passengers that our planes are fully equipped with toilet facilities.”

Now in Dublin, after arriving on another airline, Depardieu has refused to comment publicly on the incident.
