Almost 75 percent of Irish people regularly engage in fetish behavior, according to the latest survey.

The Irish Daily Star reports that new online boy website Chunk.ie has conducted the latest survey into the sexual habits of Irish and found that bondage is by far the most popular fetish Irish people are engaging in.

According to the survey, which is based on more than 800 respondents, almost 40 per cent of Irish people engage in some type of fetish activity on a weekly basis.

The findings show that almost 50 percent of those surveyed consider sexual fetishes as a healthy way of exploring their sexuality.

Matt McGuirk, senior editor at Chunk.ie, told the newspaper: “We figured that a more specific survey would shed a little more light on Irish sex practices than the tame ‘How many sexual partners have you had?’

“By keeping the survey fun and light — not wanting to scare off people who wouldn’t have experience  — we thought the most entertaining way to go about it would be to construct an A-Z of fetishes and taboos.

“So we compiled our list and went about our research.

“Along the way we were educated in a lot of the fetishes and taboos.”

McGuirk added: “Some we thought we knew about and others we knew we knew nothing about! It was interesting and eye-opening to say the least.”

Another recent survey showed that Irish middle aged women credit ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ for causing an upsurge in their sex lives.
