Tristan MacManus and dance partner Nancy Grace are safe for yet another week, but barely. The duo was in the bottom two of the public vote, falling behind only David Arquette and partner Kym Johnson who were ultimately voted off of last night’s results show for ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

Monday’s competition night got in the spirit of the season with a special Halloween themed episode. Tristan and Nancy danced to ‘Devil went down to Georgia,’ and although they had “spirit” according to judge Bruno Tonioli, judge Len Goodman described it as “disappointing.”

The couple received a judges’ score of 21 points, 7 points per judge. Combined with scores from the group dance, Tristan and Nancy were at the bottom of the pack with a score of 44 points.

“I know the judges are going to be waiting for me to mess up,” said Grace during rehearsals for their jive this week. Prophetic, considering hers and Tristan’s less than stellar reviews from the judges.

Along with the partner dances, the dancers were divided into two groups for an opening group dance. As a part of ‘Team Tango’ with other competitors J.R. Martinez and David Arquette, Nancy earned an additional 23 points to be added to her individual dance score with Tristan.

Ejected competitor David Arquette left the show in good spirits, saying that “the whole thing has been incredible.” The announcement of his departure was met with boos from the audience, who presumably thought Tristan and Nancy, announced to be in the bottom 2, would be sent packing after a weak performance and low scores on Monday night.

Tune in again on Monday night to cheer on Tristan and Nancy! Dancing with the Stars airs on ABC.
