“Britain’s Got Talent” superstar Susan Boyle was voted America’s “Favorite New Face” by readers of Parade magazine.

Parade.com conducted their annual survey, Summer Pop Culture Poll, asking Americans for their opinions on movies, TV, scandals and stars.

According to the results, Scottish-Irish singing sensation Susan Boyle was voted the Favorite New Face with 33 percent of the votes.

Boyle surpassed this year’s “American Idol” runner up Adam Lambert (21 percent), pop singer and fashion icon Lady Gaga (17 percent), 2009 “American Idol” winner Kris Allen (15 percent) and “Star Trek” leading man Chris Pine (14 percent).

SuBo was one of the few non-Americans to make the list, but several Irish-American stars popped up on the poll as well – for better or worse.

George Clooney pulled in 40 percent of the vote to win “Most Distinguished Looking Gentleman,” while fellow Irish-American actor Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, were named by 48 percent of readers as “Most Normal Couple.”

On the other end of the spectrum is Mel Gibson, who probably wouldn’t make his Irish mother proud with his behavior.

Parade named Gibson in the “Most Surprising Couple’s Chaos” category, with 57 percent of respondents saying that the end of the actor’s marriage and the swift introduction of his new pregnant girlfriend was the most alarming Hollywood couples news.
