Simon Cowell really needs to get a life after Susan Boyle.

He is spilling his guts to Oprah among others about how bored and depressed he was with his life until recently.

This is a man making hundreds of millions of dollars for no other talent than being able to say nasty things about performers.

We should all be so lucky to make money for being bad boys.

He is particularly upset with himself over Susan Boyle it seems.

Simon admitted he hates himself over his initial reaction to Susan Boyle on “Britain's Got Talent."

"I was in such a bad mood," he confesses. "I just didn't want to be there -- bored, never thought we'd find anyone good -- the second I saw her come out, I'm like 'Oh my god, here we go. And then she started to sing and I thought, 'My God, [I've] got this all wrong.'

"Then when I watched the clip back when it was all edited together and I saw the whole thing, I actually hated myself. I mean genuinely. I thought: 'You know what? We're all sneering. We're not listening to people. We're judging everybody.' I just didn't like what I saw. It was a wake-up call, and I was happy that she made us look stupid. Genuinely happy, because we deserved it."

Looking stupid actually is something I think Simon looks quite a lot of the time.

But then he's laughing all the way to the bank and we're not!
