The Rubberbandits, the Limerick comedy duo who set the world alight over the holiday period with their track “Horse Outside,” have announced a tour which will include performances in New York.

The funnymen, known as Blind Boy Boat Club and Mr. Chrome, almost made it to Christmas number one in Ireland, but were narrowly beaten at the 11th hour by the “X-Factor” winner, Matt McArdle.

To date their single has attracted over 5.7 million hits on YouTube.

Announcing their tour, a spokesperson said: "On February 4 we are kicking off a 64-date tour across Ireland, the U.K. and the U.S.

"There are three U.S. dates and four U.K. dates.

"We are going from Monaghan to Newry, Dublin to Belfast, to Cork, to Tullamore, to Carrick on Shannon, to Edinburgh, to New York and every point in between."
