Trying saying Robert Pattinson-Saddam Hussein in the same sentence without laughing. Laugh if you dare but that's an artistic mash-up that may shortly be maing its way to your multiplex.

According to the Huffington Post the start of the Twilight juggernaut is currently attached to Mission: Blacklist, a true-life story about US military interrogator Eric Maddox, the man who helped coordinate the capture of Hussein on December 13, 2003.

The new script for Mission: Blacklist is based on Maddox's novel, Mission: Black List #1. Writer Erik Jendresen (Band of Brothers) wrote the adaptation and the project has already been green lighted.

It will be a major gear change for Pattinson, who may forever be best known for playing the pasty vampire Edward Cullen in the billion-dollar grossing 'Twilight franchise.

But Pattinson has been choosing roles that help him branch out from his contact lens wearing heyday. He took on a traditional romantic lead role in Water for Elephants. Then he followed that with David Cronenberg's adaptation of Don DeLillo's Cosmopolis.' So expect the unexpected is apparently his motto.

Playing a tough as nails interrogator in Mission: Blacklist would certainly see him move on from his teeny fan base, and for the ambitious young actor that may well be the intention.
