After a huge bidding war, it was announced last week that E L James' 'Fifty Shades of Grey' had finally been sold to Universal Pictures and Focus Features.  Already the Internet is buzzing with speculation over who will play the controlling 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the erotic best-selling novel and its sequels.

Robert Pattinson, who plays controlling billionaire David Cronenberg is 'Cosmopolis,' has been reported as a leading contender to play Grey in the trilogy. People magazine has also named Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, Kellan Lutz and Henry Cavill, as some of the few Hollywood heartthrobs who could possibly take on the role.

Some have even speculated that if Pattinson was cast, girlfriend and 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart could take the part of the novel's female protagonist, Anastasia Steele.

What do you think, are filmgoers ready to see Pattinson and Stewart together on screen again in non-'Twilight' roles?
