Resident Irish lad of One Direction, Niall Horan, was so excited about the group’s show in Dublin that he wore an Irish jersey during the performance.

“The Irish fans are the best, I’m not biased,” Horan told listeners to the Ray D’Arcy show on Today FM on Wednesday prior to their final Dublin show. The worldwide pop phenoms head to Belfast on Thursaday to continue their Take Me Home tour.

“We’re about ten or 11 shows into the tour I’ll probably say it on stage but I’ve been waiting to come back to Dublin since the day we left,” said Horan, a native of Mullingar.

"I'll probably get my Irish jersey on too," he revealed.

On Wednesday, Horan (@NiallOfficial) tweeted to his 10.2 million followers: “That was the most incredible show ! You guys were so loud !Like I've never heard before!! Thanks for an amazing homecoming ! Day 2 let's go”

Horan also chatted with D’Arcy saying that he flew into Ireland a day before the rest of One Direction: “After the gig I just flew straight home, and sat in the house all day eating Supermacs.”

The lads will be continuing their touring around the world after having kicked off the Take Me Home tour last week in London.

“We’re really busy, but look where we are, it’s unbelievable what happened,” said Horan.

“It’s crazy what’s going on but we’re just having a good laugh, we don’t take it too seriously. If you start taking it too seriously you lose the head.”
