Although not much is known about Ridley Scott’s upcoming movie “Prometheus” social networking sites have been abuzz with talk of the Michael Fassbender movie and this weekend fans got a change to look at the movie’s new trailer as part of WonderCon in California.

The movie follows the crew of the Prometheus spaceship in the year 2085. They explore an advanced alien civilization in search of the origin of humanity. “Prometheus” was originally conceived as a prequel for the 1979 Scott movie “Alien”.

The new trailer shows us some clues that show the connection to the “Alien” franchise. There’s a quick glimpse of a space jockey, a creature from the “Alien” universe.

Also Scott spoke at WonderCon. He said “If we’re lucky, there will be a second part of this [film],” he said. “The film does leave you with some nice big open questions.”

"Prometheus," starring Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Logan Marshall-Green and Michael Fassbender, hits theaters on June 8.
