The trailer for the third season of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” aired on St. Patrick’s Day on US TV.

The trailer hints at what will happen in the next season which premieres on March 31 in the United States and April 1 in the UK. The next season will feature more dragons and at least one angry bear. David Benioff and Dan Weiss have revealed that this season will feature longer episodes than in past seasons. The two actors also revealed that the season’s finale may be over an hour.

NME.com reported that Weiss told Entertainment Weekly, “There’s almost another full episode’s worth of extra minutes spread across the season. One of the great liberties with HBO is we’re not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility.” Benioff added that many of the episodes are 56, 57 minutes.

Irish American Emilia Clarke will return to Westeros alongside Peter Dinklage, Mackenzie Crook, Paul Kaye, Lena Headey, Aidan Gillen and Kit Harington. The season will also feature a couple guest stars. Will Champion from Coldplay will play a drummer and Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody’s role has not yet been announced.

Charles Dance, who plays Tywin Lannister accidently confirmed that season four of the series based on author George R. R. Martin’s books is already in the works. He let the news slip at a press junket while promoting the Blue Ray of season two.
