Julianne Moore portrayed the former vice presidential candidate in 'Game Change' and although Sarah has many critics for her controversial and right wing views, Julianne admitted she couldn't help but feel slightly sorry for her.

The 52-year-old actress told T magazine: “I think whatever you do, you have to have a real amount of compassion for your character as a human being. She was in a completely untenable situation. She had an incredible natural charisma [and a] crazy innate confidence.”

Julianne also stars in the remake of 'Carrie', as Margaret White, the abusive, mentally ill, fanatically religious mother of Carrie White (Chloe Moretz) and enjoyed working on the controversial movie.

Speaking about her character, she said: “The only family she has is this child, so when she starts to move away from her and into the world it’s incredibly threatening. All she ever does is warn Carrie about the outside world — ‘They’re going to laugh at you, they’re going to hurt you,’ cause that’s been her experience. The horrible thing is she’s right!”
