Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy have named their baby daughter Winnie Rose.

The TV star revealed the tot's moniker and confessed he was "emotionally drained" on his talk show 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' show on Wednesday, just one day after her birth.

The 'Late Night' host and his wife Nancy welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday at 6:21 am, his representative has confirmed to Us Weekly magazine.

The 38-year-old comic said: "It's been a crazy couple days, well actually, just one day. It was just yesterday (23.07.13). It feels like I've had a four-day conference. It's very taxing on the fathers. I don't know how it is for the mothers, but very taxing."

"I'm emotionally drained. I'm a father of a beautiful baby girl. She's so cute. Her name is Winnie Rose Fallon and she's so cute. She's 5lb 9oz."

Winnie Rose is the couple's first child and Jimmy joked he is nervous about fatherhood.

He said: "It's just so cute having a baby. Me and my wife are so happy and thank you all for all the well wishes... Thank you so much I hope I don't screw this up."

The star also joked he is going to organise a play date between Prince William and Duchess Catherine's baby son Prince George Alexander Louis and Winnie.

Jimmy quipped: "Yes William and Kate will definitely set up a play date.

Jimmy and his producer wife Nancy have been married since December 2007. The brunette co-owns commercial film production company Flower Films with her pal Drew Barrymore, which they founded in 2005.

The former 'Saturday Night Live' funnyman is due to take over from Jay Leno on NBC's 'The Tonight Show' as of 2014, and will be replaced on 'Late Night' by fellow 'SNL' alumni Seth Meyers.
