The season six premiere of HBO’s hit series “Entourage,” which aired on Sunday night, was officially dedicated to star Kevin Connolly’s Irish-American mother, Eileen.

Eileen Connolly passed away on March 1 of this year, though the cause of death has not been released and Irish-American Kevin Connolly, who plays Eric “E” Murphy on the television series, has not commented.

Eileen is the one who revealed the origin of her son’s career. At an uncle's wedding when Kevin was 6, a photographer asked to take Connolly's picture.

"He was very cute,” Eileen said. "He had a little suit. He had a little John-John haircut."

Soon Eileen’s son’s face was on boxes for inflatable punching bags and pool toys and on television in a Chips Ahoy! commercial. Then in 1990, Connolly made his film debut in "Rocky V,” before eventually launching to stardom with his role in “Entourage.”

Eileen also revealed that Kevin was voted homecoming king of Patchogue-Medford High School in New York in 1991.
