He may not be getting too much air time in the final episodes of season three of ‘Glee,’ but Derry native Damian McGinty gets to show us his stuff in a cover of One Direction’s mega hit song ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’

For the 19th episode of the season, the McKinley High kids are heading for senior prom, which is both oddly and hilariously themed prehistoric. In ‘Prom-A-Saurus,’ the ‘Glee’ regulars get to share in the celebrations for their senior prom while many viewers are still wondering just what is the fate of certain characters.

Only a few people have been confirmed to return for season four of ‘Glee.’ The continuity of the show is being kept well under wraps as much of the cast will be graduating high school, leaving opportunities next to endless as to how the storylines will continue.

But Damian McGinty has not said whether or not he is confirmed to be returning to the FOX hit show. As last summer’s co-champion of ‘The Glee Project,’ McGinty was contracted for a seven shows on the series. He has since outlived that contract but is still appearing in episodes, despite having a rather miniscule role on the show. On the show he plays Irish foreign exchange student Rory Flanagan.

McGinty, a former member of Celtic Thunder, was excited to be covering a song by a band that features fellow countryman Niall Horan, who hails from Mullingar in West Meath. McGinty (@DamianMcGinty) tweeted “Very proud to be a part of Glee's WMYB [What Makes You Beautiful].Wouldn't be right if there wasn't an Irishman in there to represent, @NiallOfficial doing a great job.”

‘Prom-A-Saurus’ airs this Tuesday night on FOX.
