The opening of “Glee: The 3-D Concert Movie” shocked in more ways than one.
Not only did the film bomb at the box office raking in just $5. 7 million, but it may have accidentally revealed the winner of Oxygen’s “The Glee Project.”

With an array of special guest appearances throughout the film including Gwyneth Paltrow, it may have been easy to miss a cameo by Irish contestant Damian McGinty of the previously mentioned show in the crowd.

Blinking at the wrong moment could have caused a moviegoer to miss catching the talented singer front row, dancing along to the performance. Internet forums are buzzing about the quick glimpse of the Derry native in the film and speculation has risen on whether that is any indication of Damian’s win on the pre-recorded show.

Some fans are saying that the footage was taken during the Dublin stop of the Glee Live! Tour, of which Damian attended. Fans also said Damian himself was surprised when he saw the footage of him had been used in the film during the movie’s premiere.

There have been rumors surfacing that the contest is fixed due to the Irish singer’s already established career with Celtic Thunder. Ryan Murphy, Glee’s creator, has often boasted about how talented Damian is and it is clear that not only is he an audience favorite, but also a producer favorite.

The singer made it into the finals during Sunday’s episode and all speculation will be put to rest once the finale premieres next Sunday on the Oxygen Network.
