Conan O’Brien is reconnecting with his Irish roots and vacationing with his family in Dublin.

The Irish American was recently seen visiting some of the tourist sights in Ireland’s Fair City according to the Irish Independent. O’Brien visited the Merrion Hotel on Kildare Street, the Department of the Taoiseach, and the shops on Grafton Street. O’Brien strolled through Dublin with his wife Liza Powell and their two children, Beckett (6) and Neve (8).

The US comedian tweeted, “Hurrah! I am back in Ireland, 150 years after the British made me leave for doing a crappy talk show in the village.”

Dubliners have tweeted how tall the host is. One tweet said, “Just walked past Conan O’Brien in Dublin. Man he is tall, Like a tower walking down the street Welcome :)”

The US chat host was in London earlier this week, where he saw a Shakespeare play. O’Brien tweeted, “Just saw authentic period production of “Twelfth Night.” Felt like it was 1620, until I tweeted on my iPhone.”

He allegedly flew to Ireland on Wednesday. His show ‘Conan’ which airs on TBS is currently on a one week break.

The comedian, who was born in Massachusetts and grew up in an Irish Catholic home, has visited the Emerald Isle before. A couple of years ago he visited Limerick where he had a sing-song for a segment on his “Late Night” talk show.

O’Brien joined TBS after NBC replaced him from the “Late Show” with previous host Jay Leno. O’Brien was paid 25 million euros in compensation.
