It has finally happened. The amazing cast of "The Dark Knight Rises" have finally come together as Warner Bros has announced the start of principal photography on Christopher Nolan's last Batman movie.

So far the case include the returning members such as Christian Bale (Batman), Michael Caine (Alfred), Gary Oldman (Commissioner) Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox) and Nestor Carbonell (Mayor). New to the cast are Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It's hard to know where the new cast members will fit into the story as they have managed to keep the plot under wraps.

The studio has also announced that Nolan will be shooting sequences in IMAX. Apparently he'll be shooting even more footage in IMAX than he did for "The Dark Knight".

While you might think that visual "Inception" would be difficult to follow however Nolan has teamed up once more from with the smash-hit art-house flick's cinematographer, Wally Pfister, to shot the movie.

As we all wait with baited breathe Warner Bros has started a viral campaign leading up to the release of the movie, which is estimated for July 20, 2012. This week they released this photo of Tom Hardy as the evil village Bane. You can follow their campaign on Twitter at @TheFireRises. So far they've released this image, a short sample of the soundtrack along with some other fan site novelties.
