Bradley Cooper is back in talks to star in "The Silver Linings Playbook" alongside Robert DeNiro. Mark Wahlberg, who had been cast in the movie, has had to leave the film over scheduling conflicts.

Robert DeNiro is now also in talks to join his "Limitless" co-star Cooper in the adaptation by The Weinstein Company of the Matthew Quick novel.

"The Silver Linings Playbook" is a turbulent and powerful story of how one man regains his memory and comes to terms with the magnitude of his wife’s betrayal. David O Russell, known for "The Fighter" (2010), will direct the movie this fall.

It has been reported that Cooper has been attached to the movie last year but Wahlberg was evenutally choosen for the role. Now as the production date has been pushed back it seems that Wahlberg will be forced to opt out of this movie.

In "The Silver Linings Playbook", the former school teacher is institutionalised due depression. When he is released he tries to win back his ex-wife but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbor called Tiffany, with problems of her own. She offers to act as a liaison between him and his wife, if only he will give up watching football, agree to perform in this year’s "Dance Away Depression" competition, and promise not to tell anyone about their ‘contract.’ All the while, Pat keeps searching for his silver lining, as described by the writer Quick.

Jennifer Lawrence, the young starlet from "Winter's Bone", will play Tiffany after winning the role over competition from a group of top young actresses.  The role gained massive attention after Anne Hathaway (who was originally attached with Cooper) fell out because of her schedule on the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises".
