They’ve become Gaeilge’s (Gaelic) answer to "Glee," an Irish college in Connemara that has produced viral summer covers of Avicci and Mumford and Sons. But now Seo Linn, the group behind the YouTube success, has released their first original single.

Called "Ar scáth a chéile," the song was written and recorded on a voluntary trip to Uganda with Self-Help Africa, an organization that works to stop poverty and hunger. The video features the students, teachers, and staff of Ndeeba Senior Secondary School in the Kayunga district.

Released on Seactain na Gaeilge, the Irish Language Week, that runs from March 1st to 17th, the song features entirely Irish vocals.

The title, "Ar scáth a chéile," comes from the Irish saying “Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine.” It translates to “People live in each other’s shadows.”
