The Bill Clinton signed Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is doomed. With the Supreme Court set to rule in June, even popular Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly can now see that the writing is on the wall.

That increasingly likely reality has encouraged the man who spent a decade publicly defending every major anti-gay initiative of the GOP's to test out one of the biggest about-faces of his public career.

According to the Huffington Post O'Reilly stopped by The Hollywood Reporter's 35 Most Powerful People in Media party on Wednesday night and seemed to shrug off the inevitable.

'I don't really feel one way or the other about it,' O'Reilly said about DOMA. 'I think it's a symbolic act, so whatever they want to do there in Congress, fine.'

It's a major change in tone for the man who for years has been staunchly opposed to same sex unions. As though to acknowledge that O'Reilly quickly changed the subject.

'I'm more interested in saving the country from bankruptcy and keeping us out of a crazy war with North Korea,' he added.

O'Reilly then suggested sending Dennis Rodman back to North Korea, referring to the NBA Hall of Famer's recent trip to meet with dictator Kim Jong-Un: "To calm a guy down, slap him around a little. I mean who else would you want in a period of crisis for America than Dennis Rodman?' O'Reilly laughed.

Asked to clarify his thoughts on DOMA, O'Reilly added, 'I think they should leave it to the states. I don't think the federal government should impose it on anybody. Let the states decide the issue.'

On the night O'Reilly seemed less concerned with civil rights and more preoccupied with matters of war and peace.
