Followers of the Casey Anthony trial will finally get to have their curious questions answered when her parents are interviewed this September 12th on the Dr. Phil show.
According to Dr. Phil himself, "Nothing is off limits during this interview" with the couple who have always wanted to share their side of the dark story.
This will be the first interview that George and Cindy Anthony give since their daughter Casey was found not guilty regarding the murder of their granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.
Regarding their motivation as to why they wanted to give the interview, the couple expressed that they'd wanted to do it and thought Dr. Phil would be the best way to go. They also have high hopes of helping others out that may be experiencing similar struggles.
"We are hoping that by doing this interview, we will be able to help other people who may be experiencing struggles of their own. We certainly don't want anyone to experience what we have these last three years," explained Cindy Anthony.
According to Dr. Phil, "Cindy and George have suffered a horrific loss with the untimely death of their granddaughter Caylee, and they have since endured an unprecedented public attack on their family. Despite living under a 'media microscope' for years, their story has never really been told and there's so much more to it than we've hear in the media.
Throughout this extensive interview, we explore every detail of their ordeal, and they answer every question I know will be on our viewers' minds. Nothing is off limits during this interview."
The couple will not be paid for the interview, according to the release from the Dr. Phil Show. Instead, they're asking that donations be made to the organization that they're in the process of developing in honor of Caylee, called "Caylee's Fund."
Caylee’s fund, although not yet completely formed, has three objectives: grandparents’ rights, helping missing and exploited children, and lobbying for Caylee’s law, a law that would require any caregiver to report a child missing in less than an hour after they realized the child was gone. If not, the could be tried for the felony of child neglect.
The law would also include charging someone with felony child neglect if they falsely report the circumstances of the accident or injury of any child under six years old.
