The wheels seem to have come off Donald Trump's campaign for president this week.

First President Barack Obama released his long form birth certificate proving irrefutably he is indeed a United States citizen - thus demolishing Trump's signature campaign issue as the most famous so-called birther in the nation.

Then selective service records released on Friday revealed that Trump dodged the Vietnam War due to a medical deferment, and not because of a high draft number as he has claimed.

Records indicate that Trump was actually granted a series of student deferments before graduating from college, and ultimately he was deemed physically unacceptable for military service after he graduated.

Now Donald Trump can't produce his own birth certificate

The paperwork baldly contradicts what Trump has publicly stated in recent days.

"I actually got lucky because I had a very high draft number. I'll never forget, that was an amazing period of time in my life," Trump said in a TV interview as recently as Tuesday.

"I was going to the Wharton School of Finance, and I was watching as they did the draft numbers and I got a very, very high number and those numbers never got up to," said Trump, neglecting to use the word "deferment."

After the dramatic revelation Trump could not be reached for comment.
