Lindsay Lohan is the latest in a slew of celebrities to endorse GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

The troubled New York actor joined celebs such as Clueless actress Stacey Dash,
singer Nicki Minaj, actor Clint Eastwood, and wrestler Hulk Hogan to give the former Massachusetts senator the seal of approval.

When quizzed about the election and the candidates, she told reporters last Thursday: “I just think employment is really important right now,” Lohan said. “So, as of now, Mitt Romney.”

When asked why she was an Obama supporter in 2008, but seems to have switched camps, she said: "It's a long story but you're going to have to wait for that.”

In September the ‘Mean Girls’ star tweeted to President Obama requesting he "cut taxes for those who need it: middle-class families, small businesses," as well as "those that are listed on Forbes as 'millionaires'."

One political analyst has noted that celebrity migration from the Obama camp could present a serious challenge in the run up to November 6.

Walter Hickey of Business Insider described Lohan as a ‘typical low-information’ voter, which he defines as people who don’t fully understand the political issues at play, who plan to vote based on “what little information they've gleaned.”

“Lohan is a low information voter convinced that (a) employment is really important, (b) thinks that employment is not being sufficiently handled by the White House right now and (c) thinks that Mitt Romney is better equipped to handle employment.”

Hickey added: “That arguably logical sequence is all that it takes for a low-information voter to support Mitt Romney. The thing is, there are millions of voters like her. That should terrify the Obama campaign.”
