FOX news anchor Bill O’Reilly had, not surprisingly, a few comments to follow yesterday’s ruling in California by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in the state back in 2008.

The Huffington Post reports on O’Reilly’s sit-down with analysts Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle.

“Basically, just two judges said, 'you know what?' We don't really care about yooouu!,” said O’Reilly, referencing the voters choice to pass Proposition 8 in 2008. He continued, "What you want really doesn't matter, because we say this is unconstitutional to deny gays the right to marry."

"Voters don't count or matter if voters take away a benefit that was bestowed on a group of people,” responded analyst Wiehl, “without a legitimate reason to further a state interest. These two judges could find no legitimate reason.”

O’Reilly then went on to argue that nowhere in the Constitution is marriage between any two people a given right, therefore making the recent California decision on Prop 8 nonsensical.
