You may take it that former First Lady Barbara Bush isn't a Sarah Palin fan. In fact, Bush has a heartfelt suggestion for the presidential would-be: stay in Alaska.

Bush made her plea for Palin to go away during a joint interview with her husband on CNN, that aired last night on Larry King Live.

When asked for her opinion of the thriller from Wasilla the plain spoken Bush offered a no-holds barred take:

"I sat next to her once, thought she was beautiful," Bush said. "And I think she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."

Demonstrating her parental pride, Bush also said she loves "Decision Points," the presidential memoir of her son, former President George W. Bush.

"I loved the book, I thought it was very frank," Bush told King. "He's not trying to write a biography, he's trying to tell how it is in the White House."

Meanwhile Bush's husband, the former president George H.W. Bush, told King that he simply doesn't understand the rise of the Tea Party movement or where exactly it fits into conservative politics.

"I don't know really what it is, Larry," President Bush says. "I'm confused by it, frankly," he added.
