Baileys Original Irish Cream has launched this year's search for the finest dairy cow in Ireland with the help of Former Miss Universe Ireland, Rozanna Purcell, who took to the catwalk with Knockmaroon Frieda at the Baileys factory in Dublin recently.

The winning cow will be announced at the Virginia Agricultural Show in Co. Cavan on 22 August with entrants judged on impeccable breeding and good looks of the four-legged kind.

Baileys Commercial Director, Alan Quane said "Spanning almost three decades now, the Baileys Irish Champion Cow has become part of the brand's great Irish heritage. It now holds the overall world record for the total number of medals awarded.”

This award is the perfect fit for Baileys. Approximately 250 million litres of milk per year go into the making of Baileys. Brand owner, Diageo, is one of the most important contributors to the Irish rural economy, buying more Irish barley that anyone else. Diageo is also the largest buyer of dairy products outside of the dairy co-ops. The vast majority of Diageo’s production in Ireland is for the export market.
