Vincent Ryan, the 22-year-old brother of the murdered Real IRA member Alan Ryan, has been charged by Irish police in connection with the death of Michael Kelly, 35, in 2011.

Kelly was shot dead in Dublin on 15 September last year.

According to the Journal, Ryan appeared before the Irish Special Criminal Court yesterday alongside his co-accused, 23-year-old Darragh Evans.

Both men were charged with possession of an assault rifle and a revolver. Last week the two men were also charged with membership of an unlawful organization.

Ryan and Evans were arrested with fifteen other people as part of an investigation into events at the funeral of Alan Ryan earlier this month, when a paramilitary salute involving the discharge of weapons outraged the general public. The two men will reportedly remain in custody until 3 October.

According to the Journal, there was a shout of support in Irish and loud applause from a packed public gallery as the two men were led away from the dock.

For goodness sake people Ryan and his cronies were/are criminals who made their money from other people's misery. Face up to the facts!
Balaclava clad guys firing volleys of shots is hardly `fancy dress` - all the paramilitary groups (Loyalist and Republican)were up to their eyeballs in counterfeit goods and drugs - it`s how they fund themselves - indeed there are quite a few cases of Republican & Loyalist paramilitaries trading with each other
This Ryan lad is being set up. Your headline is totally untrue and a lie. The focus of the Garda is risible - Alan Ryan is murdered and nothing happens. A few eejits parade in fancy dress and an all-out investigation is undertaken and people charged.
The Irish Bourgeoisie picks up, where Prince William and Lloyd George, left off !
Pity the Garda were not as quick at picking up the dealers. Of course the dealers are protected under the criminal code, whilst Ryan was picked up under the repressive OAS act and has no rights. Justice for the drug dealers and repression for the rest.
Could also be a case of fear that a judge would grant the men bail on the lesser charge.
Now some information is being released and people can see a pattern.
