When our children went to school we were responsible for them. We met their teachers, guidance counselors and the principal. My wife and I attended school functions and made field trips. We spoke to our children on a regular basis to find out if they had a problem, there was one or two, and I did pound on a school desk and got results. If they had been mistreated we would have known, in college we still stayed connected. Sure the children in your story were abused and mistreated but there are plenty of people who should have been on the ball and looking out for them, parents should top the list.

There seems to be no end to the RC issues lately. I'm overwhelmed and sickened by them. Murph46; great idea.

Pull your head out of wherever it is you are keeping it HermitTalker.
The problems in the RC church are taking place here and now, not in some nebulous time "decades ago" or "way back there".

Such alleged behavior blasphemes Jesus who was the essence of love. I hope for the emotional health of the girls who were scarred.

Another stick with which to beat a Catholic institution. Surprised parents and the girls' peers outside did not catch on to that weird behaviour. Must have been decades ago- the other cults which were active, not this organised faith type, were exposed way back there.
