@Trealach: Irish Politicians almost exclusively financed American Corporations with huge amounts of European and Irish Funds over the last couple of decades. The Irish can work for Americans but never compete with them. The Irish people were deliberately kept away from the funds to keep us in servitude. Now the funds are all gone it can never be undone or repaired.

@Loyal Citizen - it's a pity you didn't read Article 4.
"No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms." Where do you get your allegation of "crimes against humanity" in that article - particularly when Slavery does not exist in Ireland, but then you'd know that if you lived here.

There never was a Celtic Tiger. I defy anybody to give evidence of Ireland's success. Irish Politicians did give horrendous amounts of subsidies to American Corporations who did not need customers. Financing pretentious American Corporations and excluding the Irish will be a direct violation of Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Crimes against humanity do not create great economies.

" ....despite American criticism of the Irish government, the US officials did not foresee the dramatic collapse of the Celtic Tiger." America should mind its own business - they didn't see their crash coming and haven't managed their economy too well since then.
