Why the wonderful Cliffs of Moher needs YOUR help right away

ok,got to go again because they wipe out your first comment.firstly i hate the fact they started charging to see the cliffs,who are these faceless people who make decisions like this,i have always visited the cliffs,my mother was born close to them,last time i came they were fenced of and a charge levied to view them,in disgust i did not go.this charging for everything is reminiscent of rip of britain,its not irish,people pay enough to view our lovely country,don,t let them leave with a rip off feeling,we are better than that,a small charge for maintainance,no,no bloody charge unless we know for what and who to..

yeah,i know my spellings crap,what do u expect after a few jd,s its the sentiment what counts,the cliffs are a natural wonder,who are the people who decided to fence them off and charge to see them,this is not the way of real irish people,it should be fought against,stopped and reverted to the way it used to be..i hate changing ireland into a leprochoan theme park..

gobdawpad--"trailer park trash". A bit unfair to poorer Americans --you'll find few to compete with that individual's vulgarities. As to the substantive point, I would never vote for the Cliffs of Moher. I would have happily given my vote when it was an unspoiled natural wonder, but having been there recently I was disgusted by the ugly tasteless and rip-off developments there. It's typical vulgar and mercenrary leprechaunland tactics to throw up an "Interpretation Center", and charge big bucks to see what should be free to all. If the clown who wrote the article above wants the Cliffs to be dubbed a Wonder of the World, why does he support rip-offs of those who want to visit there?

One reads the very poignant contribution below by mcxavier, then moving to the trailer park trash post of the fourth contributor (12.13 AM) one realizes how far certain of the 'human' gene pool have yet to travel to catch up. I don't care.Why do they need to be in some competition?To be honest after passing that curry I foolish ate a few days back I reckon my as*hole is a wonder of the world.Besides that.I was sitting on the edge of the cliffs once in the depths of winter and nobody was around and the cliffs will talk to you if you listen quietly.Those cliffs have a way of grounding a person.They are already wonderful to me.Why do the cliffs of Moher need our help?Do you reckon more tourists will improve it's magic?As an Irish person why don't ye just fu*k off with your competition.

I definitely believe that the cliffs should be recognized as a natural wonder. nine years ago , I traveled to the cliffs with a specific purpose. I had lost my cherished husband 5 months earlier and I was carrying his ashes to scatter from the top. I have had 5 hip surgeries, so the climb was painful and difficult. When I finally gained the top, I sang 'Wonderful World', our favorite song. it was an amazingly beautiful day - clear sky and lots of sunshine. As I opened the vial of my husbands ashes and began to toss them towards the sea, they were caught by the breeze and fanned out. They were lifted upward and were caught in the sunshine. They glittered like diamonds as they spread over the sky. It was a glorious and healing moment.
