Lokelani, Ireland is controlled by Berlin, Not Rome.
My Irish Catholic mother-in-law voted for Romney/Ryan because of Obama's positions on abortion and gay marriage.
And Ireland is still controlled by Rome as well, Portia. I do not believe in abortion; but I will say that I don't believe any man should tell a woman what she should do with her body; it is her body and hers alone. If that is the case and a woman is raped, then the woman should be allowed to address what punishment should be given to the rapist; what is fair is fair and I know the majority of women would agree with me on this and say the man should be castrated and I'm not talking chemical castration either. Maybe then some of these misogynistic men would think twice about doing these horrendous things to women. Also, both US vice presidental nominees are Catholic and both have different views on their faith; just something to think about..
I agree with the obvious facts here; The concern for LIFE in the womb, of which Obama and his payroll Planned Parenthood providers are the most extreme exponents is very important. So also are his eager endorsement of same-gender unions as equal to marriage destroying the meaning of that Natural law ( what about 2 of one and 3 of the other!) so also is his ill-fated all-out attack in the HHS on the First Amendment Freedom of Religion clauses which took aim directly at the general centrist Faith Communities ("leftist" so-called "liberal protestants have long since abandoned the Natural Law) The ground zero is the RC Christian Church, but Evangelicals and Orthodox Christians and Orth. Jews and Moslems weighed in. Even women are seeing the demotion of their dignity with ordering insurance coverage for them against their, and their Faith groups' consciences. It is not a matter of who has abortions or who uses chemical contraception or who had a sterilisation. it is BIG SISTER-BROTHER demanding that taxes pay for it. ADDING to the mix that 3.5 years later there has been no budget offered by POTUS and that the trillions on bailout are not visible in results, the man has lost his appeal and authority. Some will continue to do idolatry at any political shrine, but there is every reason to stand up, take a look and move to a different voting space.
Them men in dresses still control their boys well. USA still controlled from Roma... wow
Not everyone who identifies themselves as Catholic is really practicing. Those who practice usually fall to Pro-life or Social Justice. And they consistently vote Republican and Democrat respectively. The non-practicing are the swing vote wild card voters. If they listen to bishops they will vote Republican. If not, who knows?
There is only one issue that should be the deciding factor. That is LIFE. Which one wants to protect life, and which one is okay with killing babies in the womb. Other than that issue, I don't think either one can solve our country's problems.
