ROSCOMMON
A seven-acre field in the Lisnamult area of Roscommon town could provide the ideal location for a new all weather sports area to cater for a wide range of activites with everything from soccer, camoige and athletics to Special Olympics. According to Cllr Orla Leyden “many community sports groups have to travel to Castlerea and Athlone in order to access modern all weather facilities. Roscommon town has grown in population over the last ten years. It is vital that the community sporting facilities are put in place,” she said.
