Vandals attack house of teenager suspected of bullying suicide victim
The home of a teenager suspected of bullying 13-year-old suicide victim Erin Gallagher has been targeted twice by vandals, reports the Irish Independent.
Erin, a Finn Valley College student who had been a victim of cyber bullying, committed suicide last Saturday at her home in Ballybofey, Co Donegal.
Police have met several teenagers over the claims that Erin was abused via her phone and on the social network site Ask.fm.
One of the teenagers had stones thrown at their home and slogans painted on the side of the house. A car was also vandalized with paint. The teenager who was the target of the attack went to police on Monday for security advice.
"Gardai have been to the house of one of them (the suspects)," said one local source.
"The car was covered in paint and slogans about a young girl who lives there were painted on the wall. There was another incident on Thursday when stones were thrown."
Meanwhile, police are also investigating the death of 15-year-old Ciara Pugsley, from in Dromahair, Co Leitrim, who committed suicide in September.
