Valuable engagement ring is found in charity collection bucket

It sounds like something I would have done once-upon-a-time...no longer engaged and don't know what to do with the ring. Donate it to charity, anonymously, and know that at least something good came from the end of a life's dream. I'm much smarter and less romantic since I've grown older...that ring would have been on e-Bay in the blink of an eye these days!
